Words don't own us. We own the words.
Society uses acronyms and slang as shorthand for dismissal, frustration, and negativity. We take those same words, the ones meant to tear people down, and rebuild them into messages of strength, resilience, and possibility. This isn't just apparel. It's a refusal to let anyone else decide what a word means to you.
The Why
Reclaiming the language that was used against us
Most of these words were never ours to begin with. They were handed down, passed through group chats, hallways, and comment sections, carrying weight we never asked for. FU. BS. WTF. Acronyms engineered to cut people down and keep them there.
It's Just Words exists to flip that script. If a word only has the power we choose to give it, then we choose power. We choose to make FU mean Friendly Uplift. We choose to make BS mean Be Strong. Every design starts with a word you have heard before and gives it a completely new meaning, one that builds instead of breaks.
The idea started at home. Watching my own kids navigate their weird new lingo with friends, I realized this is a generational cycle: our parents thought the same of our slang, just as their parents did before them. Instead of fighting the cycle, we are embracing it, proving that words only carry the charge we allow them to. When you wear these, you are not making a fashion statement. You are making a declaration: that positivity is a choice, and it starts with the words you choose to define yourself.
